Schaeffler won the tournament with an eight-stroke, and Mickelson had to own his take on the online nudge of former Masters champion Trevor Immelman.
“So I might have been out for it,” Mickelson posted with a crying laughing emoji.
“Congratulations to Scotty on his amazing performance.”

The almost record win was Schaeffler’s 14th PGA Tour victory in his career. Though he hasn’t won this year, Schaeffler took part in the tournament in Texas last weekend.
Schaeffler’s first tournament victory in the 2025 season PGA Championship Around the corner, the tournament will begin on May 15th at Cool Hollow Golf & Country Club.
Mickelson will also be taking part in the PGA Championship. This is the tournament where he won two careers (2005, 2021).
