New Orleans Pelican Forward Sion Williamson was charged in a lawsuit filed in California for raping a woman on two separate occasions on Thursday. Two-time NBA All-Stars have denied these allegations.
The attack charges were first reported on Friday Eriq Gardner Pack of. The woman alleged that she was associated with Williamson while playing basketball at Duke, according to a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The pair is said to have been between 2018 and 2023. She insisted on Williamson Gardner reported that he engaged in “patterns of abusive, controlled and threatening behaviour” and shared excerpts from the lawsuit.

New York Post In one instance, the woman alleged that Williamson “picked up her, threw her on the ground, put her shoulder down and couldn’t move,” and he “rapeded the plaintiff vigorously in multiple ways.”
The woman also claimed that Williamson used abusive language when he refused to get close to him.
In a statement shared by the Pelican from Williamson’s lawyers, NBA Star denied all allegations.
“We make these claims as serious as possible and we explicitly deny them. The claims contained in the complaint are decisively false and reckless,” Michael Baracio said. He added that the lawsuit is “an attempt to misuse professional athletes driven by financial incentives, not just legitimate complaints.”

“Williamson and the plaintiff were never dating, but they maintained a consensus-based relationship that began more than six years ago 18 years ago. The relationship ended a few years ago, and the relationship did not raise any concerns.
According to Baracio, Williamson reported to law enforcement an “attempt of a fearful tor.”
“We understand that an arrest warrant has been issued in connection with that report and are ready to provide the court with documents supporting these facts. Williamson also intends to seek serious damages in this defamatory damages case.

Williamson, 24, was his first overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Despite his long history of injury, Williamson became a two-time NBA All-Star and was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team.
