The legend of tennis Martina Navratilova The writer came to the defense of “Harry Potter” author JK Rowling on Saturday after the writer was criticised by actor Pedro Pascal in a recent interview.
Rowling and Pascal have clashed in the past on transgender issues, including after Rowling celebrated the UK Supreme Court’s ruling on the legal definition of women.

Rowling rejected Pascal in a social media post Friday, and Nabratilova added to it.

Navratilova is a lifelong Democrat, but has never shaken her push to prevent biological men from competing with girls and women in sports.

“You need to step up here. I agree, but I know a lot of people who are scared to speak up for reelection. I say I’ll do the right thing. I’ll develop my spine,” she wrote to X.
