A unique message inside the bottle has recently emerged on the coast. Remote Canada Island.
The finding was announced by Sable Island National Park Reserve in a Facebook post on May 23rd. The small island is located overseas in Nova Scotia.
In the post, park officials said the bottle was found by Mark Doukett. Archaeological Engineer From Potlotek First Nation, a community of Mi’kmaq Native Americans.
“The message is very faded, but on January 14, 1983, we were able to confirm that the bottles had been sent to the sea from a supply vessel operating near Sable Island,” the post states.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, Parks Canada president Jennifer Nicholson said the first thing officials noticed was a strong smell after opening the bottle.

Jin melted some of the ink into the letters, but it still looked faint. Nicholson said the paper was still wet since it was in the bottle for 40 years.

The letter contained only a few details about the ship sent and required an investigation from park officials.

“It was a bit difficult to see the name of the ship at first. I knew it ended up being “Sea Hunter,” Nicholson said.
“We delved into it a bit, but one archaeologist discovered that there was once a supply vessel called the Wympy Hunter, a British supply vessel built in Devon in 1982.”

She said, “We also had the name of the crew behind us. After this time we couldn’t track the crew. But if they’re there, we’d love to hear from them!”
The bottle also included the $2 bill from 1974. Young Queen Elizabeth.
“We washed down electronics such as TVs and fridges on the beach, especially the refrigerators.”

It is not unheard of for a similar bottle to wash the Canadian coast. Nicholson said one message in the bottle is usually seen in Nova Scotia the year.

“Most of them have been around since the 1980s,” she said. “The oldest thing my colleague found was directed towards the sea from a boat sailing from the UK to North America in the 1930s. It was really neat.”
Other than that, Nicholson said Park official I’ve seen “almost everything” wash down on the coast.

“We used to wash off electrical appliances like TVs and fridges on the beach, especially since there’s a lot of insulation in the refrigerator, so it floats,” she said.
“We washed the Russian labels washed away. We found a small pill container from France and a lot of the typical waste you imagined. Plastic water bottleother disposable plastic items. ”
For now, the bottles have been sent to the Parks Canada archives for further research and preservation.
