The former Boston Bruins star was asked if he was actually eating a snowstorm from the Dairy Queen after the Panthers’ 6-2 victory. The Panthers previously turned their heads after visiting North Carolina’s Dairy Queen when they visited Raleigh for games 1 and 2.
“Is it possible you were fueling there with the snowstorm?” SportsNet reporter Kyle Bukauskas asked Marchand.
“Yeah, it’s a bit of a chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard,” replied Marchand.
Florida coach Paul Maurice appeared to be skeptical of Merchand’s claims.

“There’s a camera everywhere. Man. There’s nothing to run away anymore,” Maurice said. “But that would be a good story.”
Merchand praised the eatery for his dessert choice.
“You can’t beat it. It’s the best dessert in the world,” said Merchand. “So I’d better get a once-in-a-lifetime free supply of dairy products now. Thank you, blowjob.”
Whether it’s dairy Queen Blizzard or not, the Panthers clicked a lot in the Stanley Cup playoffs, reminding the NHL of why they are defending champions.
