Golden’s answer to the draft day moment is that it all says in terms of how much faith plays a major role in his life.

One of the biggest parts of adversity came in 2023 when Golden suffered a leg injury while playing. Houston Cougars. After a solid nine games, he had to miss the rest of the season for that.
“That was the first time that football was taken away from me,” Golden said of the injury. “So I didn’t know how to deal with it and I was frustrated. But then my relationship with God became much stronger and I began to realize that that was what happened.”
Golden entered the transfer portal that December, and he landed with the Longhorns, leaving him not too far from home in Texas.
Golden posted his best college season in Texas, tallied 58 receptions for 987 yards and nine touchdowns in 16 games, helping the team reach the college football playoffs.
He later ran a 4.29, 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, solidifying his spot as one of the best receivers of this year, and the Packers jumped at the opportunity to make franchise history.
