However, criticism may be as unfounded as Mamdani claims. The video shows NYC mayoral candidates who support language and theory rooted in the revolutionary Communist language.
In one 2021 video, Mamdani urges fellow socialists at a meeting not to compromise on goals like “Get the means of production.” In the same year, in the second video released on YouTube by the progressive advocacy group The Gravel Institute, Mamdani discusses the need to transform homes from private to public goods, calling for the replacement of luxury condominiums with co-style living such as shared laundry facilities and food cooperatives.
