Travis HunterS’s father was unable to attend the Heisman Trophy ceremony in December, but he can witness another life-changing moment for his son.
He was released from 90 days’ prison sentence just a week before the event. Heisman Trophy Winner The father is locked up at home for a year while on three years of probation.
The 39-year-old Hunter Senior was jailed in September for drug and gun charges after the 2023 incident. However, a Florida court is making temporary changes to him this week.

Hunter Senior has been granted permission to travel to Green Bay for the draft. Palm Beach Post.
Hunter Sr. will be limited to travelling only round-trip between the hotel and the draft and will need to return home on Friday. He would need to submit his travel itinerary to the community manager, the Palm Beach Post noted.
When he won the Heisman, Hunter was emotional when he spoke about his father.

“I want to say something to my dad. He was here and couldn’t make it, but I know you’re watching on TV. Dad, I love you.
“When you couldn’t see me, or you came to watch my game. From not seeing two games in high school, maybe to seeing me every weekend and coming to see me.
