Kansas City Chiefs Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes won’t be excited if the NFL adds its 18th regular season game to its schedule.
Mahomes, 29, said he wants to see the best players play in the biggest game and that adding another game could lead to more injuries.
“We’ve seen the amount of injuries piled up there at the end of the season, and you want to play the best players in your biggest game.” He told CNBC.

“If there’s a way to get to 18 games, I’m not. I’m not a huge fan of it. But if there was a way, I think you could have added goodbye there and gave more time for the guy’s body.”
“I think you need to find a way to expand more weeks and more time.” Mahomes said.
New York Giants Wide receiver Darius Slayton opposed Mahomes as he said an additional goodbye week would not be beneficial.

“I don’t know about two (Goodbye Week), because chasing goodbye is difficult,” Slayton said in appearance. “NFL Spotlight with Ali Meilov” June.

Part of the reason NFL I want to add my 18th game because I can slide the Super Bowl over President’s Day weekend and fans can work the next day after a big game.
Only time tells whether a potential 18-game schedule includes multiple goodbye weeks.
