The Pro Football Hall of Fame went viral in 2010, remembering how draft night went. More than 15 years later, Taylor’s interview with Sports Illustrated went viral again.
“I don’t remember much,” Taylor said as he was asked to remember draft night. “I had 41 Coors Lights so I couldn’t tell you… I know it was an exciting time, but it wasn’t like this. It was old school. It wasn’t New York or anything.”
Taylor said he has a “drinking buddy” with him.

The Giants’ choice of Taylor changed their defense completely. He was a defensive rookie of the year and defensive player of the year for his first season. He was an all-pro selection of the first team six times in his first six seasons.
He won two Super Bowls alongside the Giants in his career.
