
Atlanta Falcons Great Julio Jones announced his retirement from the NFL after 13 seasons on Friday.
The 36-year-old Jones is the Falcons franchise leader (848) and receiving yards (12,896) at reception, second only to Roddy White with a touchdown (60).
“I’m announcing my retirement. I started when I was eight years old from Foley, Alabama. It was a great ride,” Jones wrote. In a statement.

Jones was drafted in 2011 with the 6th overall pick NFL Draft By the Falcons of Alabama. He played 10 seasons with the Falcons, was selected seven times in the Pro Bowl and was an All-Pro selection five times.

Jones each spent one season. Tennessee TitanFollowing a decade of running with the Falcons, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Philadelphia Eagles. Jones last played with the Eagles in 2023 and not in 2024.
Jones caught 914 passes for 13,703 yards and 66 touchdowns in his NFL career.

“We are making this announcement today for the city of Atlanta,” Jones said in a statement. “Thank you, I’m grateful to y’all. It’s just love. I’m doing this on the 404th – it was hell of riding.
“I would also like to thank the other ball clubs, organization. Tennessee, thank you for the opportunity. Tampa, thank you for the opportunity. Eagles, thank you for the opportunity.”
