However, on his pro day, Sanders’ throwing mechanic sparked controversy. Sanders saw him tap the ball before throwing it. Former NFL quarterback Kyle Slotter believed it could be a “problem” for the future former Colorado Buffalo star.
“Personally, I believe Chedure Sanders has a chance to be a good QB in the NFL, but the boy is that that ball putt is a problem,” he wrote to X.

“The boy should stop dabbing that ball, we’re broken early,” he wrote to X.
New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton had another take.
“If DB is good at breaking ball putts, he promises he can put the ball and get well,” Slayton wrote on social media. “The same guys who fell into the concept of two dagger and gave up digging in the third and long seasons each season, are ball-putting jokes.”
