Word, who came out of high school, had no single offer from FBS school. He had to begin his college journey in the incarnational college. He worked hard to get the opportunity to play for Washington State and had to transfer to Miami again this past season.
So it was presumed that Ward would go first to the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night, but the official pick was Hurricane All emotional products during his interview at Green Bay Stage.

When ESPN’s Molly McGrath was asked about the emotions she heard in his voice, Ward replied why.
“I’m just going to say the little child inside me who wanted it,” he replied.
Campbell will “die” for the patriots
The fourth overall pick in the draft was Will Campbell, the LSU star’s offensive tackle.
Campbell came out on the draft stage wearing a bright smile and his patriot hat after hearing his name be called and before giving him some words about his emotions. When asked what was behind his smile, he said, “It’s all a tough job,” but he felt the emotions come to his face, so he cut off.
The crowd cheered at him loudly as he worked to suppress his emotions.
“I worked my whole life to be here so that I could call my name by a franchise like New England. That means everything to me,” continued Campbell.
If that initial cheer wasn’t loud enough, Campbell loved not only the patriot fans, but also his answer when asked what New England could expect from him right away.
“I’m going to die fighting to protect them with everything I got,” he replied.

Kelvin Banks Jr. Share a special moment with mom
If you know the stories about Kelvin and Monica Banks, you will understand why the former couldn’t stop crying in a house surrounded by friends and family when the New Orleans saints accepted him to 9th overall.
Monica Banks has been battling health issues since his son’s freshman year in Texas, and has now entered hospice care. However, when the doctor removed her gallbladder, her health began to return to normal and see a positive trend.
So this celebration wasn’t just about Kelvin’s bank heading for the NFL. It was clearly shown, as he had to put the saint’s hat on his face, even after he held him.
A 22-second embrace with Malachi Starks’ Commissioner Goodell
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell loves to say hello to each newcomer when they get the name they call on Night 1, and sometimes those celebrations allow him to be lifted off the ground.
Starks did so late Thursday night when the Baltimore Ravens called him, but the hug didn’t stop. Starks was clearly emotional and Goodell was talking to him through it.
Maxwell Hairston = Good teammate
The Buffalo Bills called Kentucky cornerbacks and joined the ranks on their 30th overall pick and heard his name being called in Round 1 after a three-hour wait.
But what Hairston did before he heard his name turned into a virus on social media congratulated all the prospects filmed before him in the NFL Draft Green Room.
When it finally came time to shine, he could not hold back his tears as he hugged his father. As Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz said, Hairston is “a special person,” and the city of Buffalo will certainly see it.
Mike Green’s Water
The Marshall product was one of the most raw in regards to emotions on Friday night, as the second day of the draft began. In the second round, the Ravens called his name and all the broadcasts showed Green crying with a fun family in the living room, a scene they’ve seen many times in the NFL Draft.
The flock shared what Ravens GM Eric DeCosta and coach John Harbaugh said to him in that emotional time.
Two separate sexual assault allegations reportedly swirled around the green, where two separate sexual assault allegations reportedly took him off the board. The Ravens explained Green’s choice at a press conference, saying that a thorough investigation was conducted and that the drafter was confident.

Cam Scattebo can’t believe it
On the third day there were still impact players on the draft board. In fact, many argue that round 4-7 is where the team really scores drafts, as the team finds value in their choices.
The New York Giants grabbed a fan favorite where Arizona sprinted through Cam Scottebo in their fourth selection, grabbing their confidence in every football.
When the broadcast was cut to his family’s house, they learned the news, Scattebo had no Giants hat on his head, so he kept swinging his head up and down. Again, I realized that dreams are powerful.
And Scattebo knew how to love himself to the Giants fanbase.
Benjamin Morrison’s emotional promise to the Bucs
To put that together, perhaps the best draft day call was for Morrison in the second round.
The connection is already there as head coach Todd Bowles played with his father Daryl. But the Bucs didn’t expect Morrison to hear anything so emotional when he got on the phone.
“Thank you for trusting me,” Morrison said, tears in tears.
