There was a president of the Packers Mark Murphy. Green Bay He remained true to the frenzy when he unveiled Golden as the first wide receiver the franchise filmed for over 20 years, and his reception when he came out of the green room, wearing a Packers hat and holding a jersey, is still unrealistic.
“It’s not real for me yet, that’s crazy,” he told Fox News Digital, and also spoke to about his time in the draft. “Like I said, I’ve been waiting for me to call my name since I was six. That’s how things happened in Green Bay.
“The much history behind it, and the way it happened, I feel like God made it that way for a reason, and that’s something that sticks to me forever.”
Golden chanted Packers fans with him before leaving the stage, as their love for their new hideout was certainly fully on display.
However, Packers fans are also hoping for more from him for history. If being a first rounder isn’t enough pressure, you can come to the fanbase and team desperately to the next top receiver.
However, Golden doesn’t seem to sense that pressure.

“There’s definitely no pressure, but I definitely know I have to come. I have to compete and I have to contribute to this team,” he explained. “It’s something I got to me. It’s the mentality I’ve come in. I have something to prove something, and I help us win.
The crowded wide receiver room in Green Bay includes Christian Watson, Jaden Reed, Romeo Dooth and Don Evionwick. They all had their names in 2024 in some way, but none of them stepped up for Jordan Love as a true top receiver.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but Packers fans want wide receivers of Davante Adams, Geordy Nelson and Donald driver type. Whether it is gold remains to be seen yet, but the first round pick has such weight.
Golden said he had already spoken to Watson and Reid and couldn’t be more excited about making his mark for the Packers.

“They told me I was happy to be here and now it’s time to get to work,” Golden said of Watson’s conversation with Reed. “So just playing with those kinds of people and it’s going to be amazing. There are so many weapons, so I’m ready to contribute to the game with them and have fun.”
What Golden brings to the Packers’ offense right away is faster, performing a 4.30 sub-40 yard dash. But he’s more than just a one-trick pony in the passing game.
“My route is running. You can run the root tree inside and outside the book,” he said. “Where you are, you can line up in the backfield. Understand the game in a place where you can create separations without running at full speed. I understand that very well. I don’t think many people will run fast on the field, but you don’t have to run fast to open.
“I know I’m coming here to this organization. They will definitely help me a lot with other tools that can help my game. I’m happy to be here, I’m happy to be coached by them, and I’m ready to go to work.”

Golden was happy and excited about where his NFL journey would begin, and he felt that strong sense of community when he joined the “landry day game” with the Tide alongside former NFL lineman Anthony “Spice” Adams.
“It was cool,” Golden said of his work with Tide. “He’s definitely a funny guy with Spice. We played a lot of games, so it was a cool experience for me. I always wanted to be a tide commercial video.
