When Murphy spoke to the media on Wednesday at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, the venue for the 2026 World Cup Fan Festival, predicted the final at the New York Giants and Jets home would be “the most viewed event in human history.”
And for those present, “The Metlife experience will be outstanding,” Murphy said.
“It’s safe, safe, easy to get in and out, and it’s a great experience for the fans if you’re in the stadium,” Murphy continued.

“Fanfest, it’s going to be beyond words. 22 screens, 45,000 capacity. When we’re not at MetLife, we’re looking here. These experiences are extraordinary. This is no exception,” Murphy added.

“When you see the ability to come here from New York and New Jersey, the iconic skyline and the scenery to come, it’s not good anywhere just thinking about where to put it in the party,” Lasley said. “This is a unique place to take part in the most iconic fanfest we see. It brings together a partnership so that we can do that in New Jersey.”
