kon kneeppel heard his name be called quite early NBA Draft Wednesday night.
Charlotte Hornets I chose the former Duke Blue Devils Star on the fourth pick. He went to three picks after teammate Cooper Flag came first for the Dallas Mavericks.

As Knuppel was with his brothers, he spoke to ESPN following his choice and praised the Lord for being able to turn into an expert.
“To be able to enter the NBA is a blessing from God, but being able to share it with your family is beyond understanding. It’s a special moment for us and for me,” he said.
Kash Knueppel was one of Kon’s four brothers who were with him on draft night. He was asked to hype his brother.
“It’s great. It’s a godly blessing. He’ll enjoy it every minute. It’s great to see him from home,” he said.

Kon Knuppel briefly mentioned his Christian faith in an interview With a rival February 2023. He said it was a big reason he was considering Virginia before he finally decided to join Duke. Tony Bennett was the head coach of the Cavaliers at the time.
“I talked about this a few people, and when I visited there, Coach (Tony) Bennett said he wanted people to know that Virginia is a faith-based program,” he said at the time. “It’s something that sticks to me because I’m a Christian.
“It’s great to hear because it’s really important to me, and it’s not something I’ve always heard. They have great, great programs as well. They’ve been the best at the ACC for a long time.”

Knupel played one season In Duke. He averaged 14.4 points and four rebounds per game.
