The National Guard will be deployed in Los Angeles County on Saturday afternoon after anti-ice protests continued to escalate, Trump administration border border Tom Homan told Fox News on Saturday.
On Saturday, tear gas was deployed near Home Depot in Paramount, California, and ice agents allegedly raided.
The attack was followed by violent protests, with several arrests being made for assault on federal agents.
In an interview with Fox News’ “The Big Weekend Show,” Homan said authorities “step up” and “Mobiliz.”[ing] Dealing with violence and destruction occurring near attack sites where protesters gather.
“Americans, this is about enforcing the law, and again, I’m not going to apologise for doing that,” Homan said.
