Ryan Branny is behind the wheels of the Pensk car on the No. 12 Coca-Cola 600 Bodear March Drink It was displayed on the hood of his car. Kyle Larson, a fellow NASCAR Cup Series colleague of Branny, tries to do a “double.”
“Double” is one of the toughest feats a race car driver tries to do in his career. Race the Indy 500 and then fly to Charlotte for the Coca-Cola 600. Larson became one of five drivers attempting a “double” last year, but failed to reach the NASCAR race.
Blaney told Fox News Digital that it was “nice” to see Larson attempting that last year.
“It’s the biggest day in the race,” Branny said. “You get Monaco early, then you get Indy and then we finish at 600. I wake up in the morning and see Monaco, I cheer for the guys in Pensuke for 500, then I prepare to go to the race. I think it was pretty to see him do it last year. To do all that.”

The “double” attempt piqued Branny’s interest, considering Team Pensuke has a driver competing in the Indy 500.
“But yeah, that’s something I’ve always thought up,” Branny said. “If you get the chance, you may never know. I’m with a great team that has the opportunity to do it, but we don’t see it. You never get it.”
Larson, John Andretti, Tony Stewart, Robbie Gordon and Kurt Bush all tried to do feats. Stewart was the only driver in the group to complete both races on the same day.
No driver has won either race while trying.
Larson hopes that changes will come on Sunday.
