“I tried to handle it like I did when I went to Asia. I drank bottled water, watched the shower, brushed my teeth with bottled water, but then went downhill,” he said. “I couldn’t hold anything. Everything went straight through me. I really felt sick and my mind was there, but my body had so much pressure on my stomach. Crazy weekends and everyone dug deep.”

“It means everything to us, and that’s why I’m here,” Van Gisbergen said. “I’m getting better and there’s a lot of competition. We’re really making a lot of progress.”
The next race on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule is Pocono.

Van Gisbergen will enter the race on the 30th in the rankings, but the victory in Mexico City will go a long way, provided that 17 different drivers won the race in the future.
