The US men’s national team is competing for the coveted Conca Cuff Gold Cup winner trophy. But As USMNT The flying objects prepared for Wednesday’s semi-final match against Guatemala caused chaos on the team’s training ground.
The unidentified party was believed to operate what looked like a drone near the team’s training facility in St. Louis. CBS Sports reported.
The US Football Federation deployed three drones ahead of Tuesday’s practice session, according to the Associated Press. US manager Mauricio Pockettino ultimately revealed his fourth unexpected drone.

“If someone wants some clips we can send, that doesn’t matter,” Pockettino said. “We’re not going to hide anything. It’s not NASA here. It’s the national — the men’s national team. It’s fine.”
The drone in question eventually landed outside the fenced boundary of the training facility.

Aside from the chaos in the air, the USMNT had to fight ground level situations. Groups of individuals had to be asked to stop what appears to be fraudulent filming of the session, CBS Sports reported. It remains unknown whether an incident has a correlation with flying objects.

US The man has not made it to the Gold Cup final since 2021. The Americans brought home the championship that year. The Guatemala national team did not appear in the finals.

As it is linked to a critical semi-final, Pockettino said it is not clear whether midfielder Johnny Caldosault will be available for Wednesday’s match. Caldoso missed Sunday’s quarter-finals We will beat Costa Rica.
“He was training a bit today and he’s feeling bad… His ankles are a problem again,” Pockettino said. “That’s not a big deal, but it’s an uncomfortable situation.”
