Hendriks’ 2023 debut was postponed as he fought non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma earlier that year. He didn’t make his season debut until May 29th, but appeared in just five games before going under the knife. The surgery left him missing out on the rest of the season and everything from last year.

Hendrix appeared in spring training, but arm pain kept him in Illinois and began the season. He tried to make a comeback last year, but he suffered from a late-sacrificed set.

Before his injury, Hendrix became one of all baseball’s most prominent closers, leading the majors with 38 saves in 2021. Chicago White Sox.
Hendriks went to the 3rd century All-Star Game from 2019 to 2022 (there were no midsummer classics in 2020).
The pitcher owns a lifetime of 3.82 ERA, but it has swelled from the struggles of his early career. From 2011 to 2014, Hendrix struggled as a starter, owning a 5.92 ERA.
But something clicked as he owned an ERA 2.92 on a 54 outing from the bullpen after he became a full-time rescuer with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2015.

He then proved that 2015 was not a fluke as he owned a 2.97 ERA in Oakland’s Athletics and the next eight seasons with the Chicago White Sox.
