Exclusive: on monday, Mississippi Auditor Shad White will release an edit of the audit conducted by his office, which collected $400 million in waste during his tenure.
“In the last few weeks, we have begun jokingly calling ourselves moge. Mississippi Office Of the government’s efficiency, like Elon Musk’s dog, White spoke to Fox News Digital, referring to the government efficiency of masks under the Trump administration.
“We approach our work with the same care as Doge and we are delighted to be Musk in Mississippi,” White said.
The Auditor’s office cannot reduce wasteful spending, but it warns state legislators of what it finds.

“We’ve been really working on this project over the last few years, and now President Trump and Elon Musk are doing doges. This raises public awareness of the amount of government fraud, waste and abuse,” White said in his exclusive interview.
“So people are starting to see a lot of what we’ve revealed. My team and my team at the state auditor’s office and I have discovered about $400 million worth of waste.”
That number will be broken down in an 800-page report, with White coming out later on Monday.
He said Medicaid is a major issue. Among them, tens of millions of dollars of subsidies will become Mississippi people who fail to earn money.
One state agency spent nearly $6,000 each on television. The similarly bloated federal government has paid around $2,000 for similar technologies.

“So if you think the federal government is inefficient, I promise you, your state government will probably be even less efficient,” he said.
Asked about reducing wasted spending on Days and elsewhere, White said. Magnoliathere are many things that are discovered and trimmed.
“[W]With all the time of this staff and all these resources, they were doing something like holding microaggression training sessions for engineers – I don’t know why we need to do that. They were handing out social justice yoga grants for preschoolers. He said that $11 million in taxpayer funding went to DEI at the university alone.
In Magnolia, 20% of people live under the poverty line, so efficient spending of federal and other public funds is paramount, White said.
Millions of mistakes came from welfare spending, including approved community gardens that were never built, or nonprofits that pledged to use funds to help the poor but instead pledged to fill executive salaries.
“We thought the poor would be paying for sponsorships for the beauty contest,” he added.
“I think the big point here is that this kind of waste happens at all levels of government. And now the DOJ is taking the lead and shows how much fraud, waste, abuse there are. It’s really mandatory for the state government to look at their homes and make sure there’s no fraud, waste, abuse even in the state government.”

The role of a state auditor varies legally from state to state.
When asked whether White worked with neighboring officials or if other deep tropical countries worked with local Doge-type initiatives, White said that some states, like Alabama, have the role of an auditor with limited statutory authority than Jackson’s.
However, he said Oklahoma auditor Cindy Bird is working on similar efforts to uncover the waste of the state’s government in the earlier state.
“we [state auditors] We are talking to each other. And whether it’s your state’s auditor, a major state legislator or a governor, in reality, every state needs to start doge. ”
Fox News Digital reached out to Reeves to comment on White’s past work identifying waste, fraud and abuse.
