
Bottle messages sent by staff and students from schools that no longer exist Was washed off on the beachnews agency SWNS reported – and was quickly discovered by a group of young people.
Hedda Traa Haucom was on the beach in Helsund, New York, south of Norway Her cousin When they discover the message in the bottle.
“We stumbled over a bottle with paper inside,” Haukom, 14, told the news outlet. “It was located 10 meters from the coast under the rocks. The bottle looked quite old so we decided to open it and read the notes.”

“The notes and bottles themselves didn’t have a name, year or address,” Haukom told SWNS.
The message states: “Please send this bottle back to the viewfinder to Bolton County Grammar School in Bolton, Lancashire, England. Channel boat. thank you! “

It is unclear exactly when the note was written, but the Bolton County Grammar School changed its name in 1982 and created it at least 42 years ago.
The memo, the group speculated, could have been dropped from the ferry as the young people were heading towards France on a school trip.

“It would be really fun to find someone who wrote the message and let them know that we got it and how far it has traveled over the years,” Haukom said.
Bolton County Grammar School was first opened in 1881 as the Bolton Higher Grade School.

The school moved to a single site on Great Moor Street in 1897, and in 1947 the building became Bolton County Grammar School. In 1966 the school was moved to Breightmet and maintained its status as a grammar school.
In 1982, it once again changed its name to Withins School. Withins then closed in 2009, with new school Bolton St. Catherine’s Academy opening on the same site at the location.

This is not the first time bottled history has reached modern headlines.

According to Boston’s WCVB, another message this time was washed in Massachusetts in early April this year.
Two brothers, Clint and Evan Buffington, discover the notes as they combed the beach.

A note written in 1976 by 14-year-old Peter R. Thompson of West Newbury, Massachusetts as part of a marine science class, states, “I am a ninth grade student at Pentucket Regional Middle School.”

The brothers were to connect with Thompson over the phone.
They hope that the letter will be returned to the writer soon, WCVB writes.
