The latest star of “Golden Bachelor” There are several strict standards when it comes to choosing a life partner.
While appearing in “To the Trench” podcastcast as the ABC Show’s latest “Golden Bachelor” in April, Mel Owens admitted that he plans to cut “over 60” women and that he has affirmed that the producers would refrain from casting people with “artificial waists” and “wigs.”
“It’s blind until they get out of the limo. But they asked me, ‘What do you like?’ So I just said 45-60, and be honest,” said Owens, a 66-year-old NFL veteran. “And then the process went on and I was chosen, right? And we had lunch with the executive producer. “Oh, Mel, you can’t, you know, this isn’t ‘silver singles’. It’s the Golden Bachelor. He said, “But they’re going to get hot, don’t worry about that.”

Additionally, Owens said he expects all the competitors to be in good condition.
“I didn’t have a resume, but they asked me, what’s my profile?” Owens said. “Well, I should be in good health and I should be fine, so they’re healthy. And I told them you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, that’s the right thing.”

“Well, I don’t think there’s an artificial waist or a wig there, right? Because I know there’s a great woman,” Owens added.
Jerry Turner, the first “Golden Bachelor,” was 72 years old when he appeared on the show. He met Married Teresa Nist70, but they divorced three months after tying the knot.

The age range for the 22 contestants in the first season ranged from 60 to 75.

Representatives from the “Golden Bachelor” did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

According to a press release from the show, Owens has been married for 25 years and has two sons. He wants to find love that is rooted in the simple joy of dating, sharing everyday moments in life, planning for the future, and becoming stronger together as a couple.
“As Golden Bachelorhe wants to meet someone who shares this vision and eventually realizes the perfect teammate he has been waiting for in his golden age,” reads the press release.
