Prior to the John Deere Classic, Homa was stuck with a personal boycott of “a terrible, awful place.”
“The only reason is Vitriol you read online, which has become a safe haven for those who are angry at themselves. He told reporters on Wednesday.
“It’s a terrible place like Twitter and X. It took a while to get on how influential it is and how influential it is. You miss out on connections with the fans, but there’s nothing without hatred and anger.
Homa suggested that the increase in gambling “looks like hell of golf” could be contributing to vitriol online.

“People say bad things, bad things on the internet. They get people to tell you they should die on the internet. It has nothing to do with being unconnected. I want to stay connected with people, but I want to do a little more.
“It’s a safe haven for holes because there’s no better term.”
Homa has been struggling lately. He missed seven cuts in 16 tournaments this year, and only one top 25 finish came at the Masters. It was his first cut since last year’s Open Championship, but since then he finished in 70th place, tied to 30th place, tied to 60th place, 51st place, and tied to 54th place with another pair of miss cuts.
