Pearl jam Member Matt Cameron announced that he would leave the band as drummer 27 years later.
“Twenty-seven years later, I invited me to the band in 1998, giving me so much love and respect for Jeff, Ed, Mike and Stone, who gave me a lifelong opportunity filled with friendship, art, challenge and screams.
“I am forever grateful to my crew, staff and fans around the world. It was an incredible journey. It should last more. I am grateful for everything from the bottom of my heart,” Cameron wrote on social media.

The rest of the Pearl Jam members, Eddie Vedder, Stone Gassard, Mike McCredy and Jeff Ement have issued their own statements, thanking Cameron for his commitment to the band for nearly 30 years.
