McIlroy put the first round he was sorry, when he ended evenly Two double bogeys In the second 9, after posting 66 in the second round, then in the rearview mirror. He then went down to the hot start and went to birdies, eagles and birdies, and quickly led.
It was a lead he didn’t abandon, even after he wobbled through holes in the 8 and 10 and placed a bogey on the scorecard and returned to 9 under.
However, McIlroy regained those shots with birdies on 13th and 15th. He buried another Eagle to 12 under.
So, after winning all the other majors on the PGA Tour, McIlroy, who needs a green jacket to achieve a career grand slam, had the chance to get it in the end, earning the elusive fifth major of his career.

Dechambeau is paired with McIlroy and is looking for the victory of his own first master. Deccanbeau stylishly finished his third round with a long, twisty birdie putt on the 18th hole, finishing 69 during the day and 10 under in the tournament.
He recorded three birdies in the final four holes, with Liv Golf Star roaring with fans around the 18th green.

Previous champion surge. Rose begins to wilt
2007 Masters champion Zack Johnson has his eyes on McIlroy and Deccanbo after Saturday in the third round, but flew through the leaderboard after two golfers posted a 66 before teeing off.

Johnson is currently 10th on Sunday at 4 under for the tournament.
Rose, the Masters leader after the first two rounds, was paired with Deccanbeau on Saturday, hoping to continue holding onto the lead heading into the final round.
But it was a battle from the start. Rose has to scramble to save Parr and eventually catches up to him. He posted five bogeys and two birdies, finishing three overs that day.
Rose is tied to sixth at 5 under and should look to be walking through the Butler cabin and shooting snugly with a green jacket when he posted a 65 in the opening round on Thursday.
