
The 89th Masters Tournament begins at Augusta
Former PGA Tour golfer Jerry Putty, who finished the top five twice with the Masters, joins Fox & Friends First to discuss predictions for the annual tournament as players are tee-off in Augusta, Georgia.
This week, Justin Thomas officially rekindled his first ever pursuit of a prestigious green jacket.
However, the winners of the two PGA Championship made some comment headlines in the first round at Master. Thomas’ tee shot at hole 8, also known as Yellow Jasmine, evoked a four-word response from golf pros from NSFW.

Microphones scattered across the well-maintained Augusta National Golf Course were picked up Thomas says“f — I bitten that… damn it.”
Thomas’s moment of frustration came a day after he all smiled at Augusta in the easygoing Masters par-3 contest. Thomas took him to social media and reacted to a “great day” with his daughter and fellow golfers Jordan Spieth and Max Homa’s family.

Thomas failed to make cuts at the Masters in 2023 and 2024. His best finish in major tournaments happened when he finished the event in 2020 with fourth place.

Thomas crossed hole 18 at Augusta on Thursday and placed in the tie in 38th place.
