MRI on Tuesday confirmed that Robles suffered a small fracture in the head of the humerus bone of his left shoulder on Tuesday, according to MLB.com. If Robles’ injured shoulder ultimately requires surgery, the entire Seattle Center Fielder season could be in danger.

However, Justin Hollander, executive vice president/general manager of the Mariners, appeared optimistic about Robless’ recovery and concerns about disregarding surgery. Nevertheless, the Mariners may continue to monitor closely how their shoulders progress.

The Mariners moved Roble to their 10-day injury list on Tuesday.
The set-off of the injury comes a day after the Robles leapt on a reel-worthy catch in the outfield. San Francisco Giants catcher Patrick Bailey hit a flyball deep into the right field line in the bottom of nine innings in Monday’s game.

The ball carried a foul and the Robles jumped into the air and caught it before slamming it against the wall and net. Robles seemed to be in pain right away. He fell to his lap and threw the ball back towards the infield.
Robless was later forced to leave the field behind the cart. The game was tied up when the Mariners outfielder scored the second out of the inning.

Avoiding surgery could result in a 27-year-old being placed on a six-week healing timetable. It could take another six weeks of rehabilitation before Robles is healthy enough to return to action.
Robles started last season Washington Nationals Before signing the Mariners last June. He has stole three basses and three basses this season in 10 games so far.
