But Sen. Susan Collins, R. Maine, understands both sides of the coin and wants to finish it all.

The Department of Education’s Civil Rights Office (OCR) introduced the Maine Department of Education (MDOE) to the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday. Allow trans athletes Competing in girls’ sports.

Maine was one of many states openly opposed the order after Trump signed an executive order to ban trans athletes from women and girls’ sports on February 5th.
The state disparities regarding state trans-inclusion became clear when Maine Assemblyman Laurel Libby identified the trans-athletes in a social media post that month that won the Paul Vault Girls at Greeley High School. Libby was then condemned by the state legislature.

Libby filed a lawsuit last month. This calls for her to restore her rights to vote and speak. She was originally told that if she apologized for the post, she would restore her rights. Libby said she wouldn’t apologize, but she said she was willing to file a lawsuit if her accusations were dropped.
