In a recent interview with ESPN, Donsic revealed his feelings about Anthony Davis, Max Christie and the shocking blockbuster trade that sent him to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for future first-round picks.

The Lakers left the clear winner of that contract, but it was an emotional exit for Donsic. He left him with a crushed heart and a phone call.

“Mainly saddened. I was still in the shock of a crazy shock. Honestly, my heart felt broken,” Donsic said in an interview. He revealed that he was in bed when he first learned the news. His first reaction? Throw his phone.
“It still works,” Donsic said with a smile when he revealed the damage to his phone.
Donisi spent the first 6.5 years of his career in Dallas. When asked if that was where he wanted to finish it, he replied, “Of course, that’s a simple question.”
Doncic flourished in Lakers, Meanwhile, Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison has become the public enemy No. 1. According to Donsic, he has not spoken to Harrison since the deal, including the night he learned of it.

Earlier this week, Harrison spoke with media members along with Mavericks CEO Rick Weltz, behind a locked room where only Dallas-based reporters were present to ask questions. Harrison said he “has no regrets” about the trade.
“I have no regrets about the trade,” he said via ESPN. “Part of my job is to do the best for the Mavericks not only today but in the future, and some of the decisions I will put down will not be popular.
“That’s my job and I have to support it.”

In Doncic’s case, Harrison’s commentary since Trade added salt to the wound.
“It’s just sad that he’s talking about now,” he told ESPN. “I’ll never say anything bad about him. I just want to move on. Fans, my former teacher, I always keep it in my heart. That’s when I move on from there.”
The focus is now on basketball and the playoffs. The Lakers will be holding the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night in Game 1 of the Western Conference’s first round matchup.
