Thomsen also estimates that 13 ships have been abandoned in Maritime Bay near Manitowoc. Although only three divers could find, they still keep their eyes peeled for them.
“We only find it when it’s revealed by the storm if someone sees them before someone is covered again. It has to be perfect timing,” she said.

Maritime archaeologists also noted that a large propeller, 10.5 feet in diameter, still sat at the shipwreck site.
Other than that, only small artifacts were found.
