New York Liberty Player Natasha Cloud Recently, she has supported Zohran Mamdani, a radical socialist in the city’s mayoral race.
Cloud, one of the more outspoken players in the WNBA when discussing politics in recent years, was celebrated Mamdani’s victory in the Democratic primary in a series of social media posts on Wednesday.
Cloud has sent an X post featuring one of Mamdani’s regular use quotes. Earlier that night, Cloud re-shared a post about the Mamdani celebration.

On June 18, Cloud re-shared a video dealing with his reaction to being called anti-Semites, and on the same day Cloud wrote her own post expressing her support for the self-proclaimed democratic socialist.
“If I wasn’t a PA resident, [Mamdani] Who will get my vote,” Cloud wrote.
In an interview with a sports blog site.”Clutch Point“Cloud said that Mamdani’s victory at the primary restored her ‘human hope’.
“He’s a Muslim, he’s a socialist and he’s a Democrat, so he gets the worst PR. But he believes it’s right for the government to take care of him and make sure that all members live a dignified life, regardless of who you are, regardless of your religious affiliation or background.
“Overall, I think it’s the right choice. But why is it so empowering me, and it’s restored a bit of human hope. People speak up even within the scope of what’s happening in our government and our country. People come into play.
Cloud has emerged as one of the most polarizing figures in the WNBA due to his comments about President Donald Trump.

Cloud doubled her remarks in a social media post a few days later.
“I’m not soft, and the words don’t hurt me lol am we five? It’s still people beyond profit,” she wrote to X.
“Then go back to me and tell me what made the whole world crazy.”
Cloud has also won controversy over his comments and interactions with WNBA Phenom Caitlin Clark.
In an interview with Ryan Clark about a “Pivot Podcast,” Cloud was overwhelmed by the debate that rocked the WNBA last year when several illegal hits against Clark spurred rage from many of her fans.
Cloud said he lost his teeth from a hit early in his career, but on behalf of Clark, he insisted that his anger was rooted in “racism.”
