Encino, California – The Los Angeles Police Department continues its investigation into the tragic murder of Robin Kay over the years “American Idol”“The music director and husband Thomas Delca were found dead inside the house on Monday.
Li Guy Golan during LAPD provided an update to Fox News Digital in the next step of the investigation after 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian was arrested for double murder.
“He was arrested from his residence, near the 19,000 block of Van Owen Street. He was arrested safely,” Golan told Fox News Digital.
“American Idol” music boss Robin Kay and her husband discovered they were murdered in their LA home.

“He has not filed a statement at this time, and investigators are planning to file a murder charge against him.”
Golan explained that his team has been putting the case together for the next 48 hours and presenting it to the District Attorney’s Office for further consideration.
“We are still investigating possible motivations. There is no connection right now that links suspects to victims,” Golan added.

Golan pointed to forensic evidence at the scene where the suspect was identified through surveillance video, where police “advanced analysis.”
Investigators only had “about 26 hours” of evidence, so Golan said officers still have to look into “additional surveillance video” by “doing folding of the legs for additional witnesses.”

“We still don’t know if the suspect drove to the scene, if he walked, or if he got on a bus or an Uber. There are many footnotes to show that the suspect is in the residence, except for surveillance video recovered from the house.

LAPD officials said the double murders of Kay and Delca, found in multiple gunshot wounds, appear to be a random act of violence.
The motive remains unknown, but authorities continue to piece together what led to a fatal encounter. Golan emphasized that while the detectives are still in the early stages of the investigation, there are currently no indications that the victim has been targeted.

“Such random violent attacks are extremely scary. Because if it’s a random act, it can happen to anyone…the community clearly knows that they’re worried about what’s going on,” he told Fox News Digital.
The murder may have shaken up the Los Angeles community, but Golan added a bit of relief that the suspect, Boudarian, is currently behind the bar.

“One silver lining [is] What we could take [the suspect] You will be detained in a prompt manner. But no one likes to hear about things that aren’t happening completely again. Golan concluded.
Kaye and Deluca were found dead inside their homes around 2:30pm on July 14th after officers answered a call for a welfare check in the 4700 block of White Oak Avenue in Encino. Both victims were 70.

Police say the murder may have occurred on July 10th after an investigation revealed that LAPD received two calls that day at the home about 4pm to report a possible robbery suspect.
At a press conference yesterday, Golan shared that Kay and Delca’s Los Angeles mansion is being “enhanced.”

“A 7-foot-high wall has metal spikes welded at the tip of the wall there. The car’s gates were also closed and spiked. They had no way of getting in through the gate code, like the dates of welfare checks.”
“They requested a flyover on our airship, but that happened. There were no signs of forced entry during this overpass, and once again the suspect entered the property without force and entry,” he continued.
