
Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin began its first female all-women flight into space on Monday, marking its 11th private launch since its debut.
Katy Perry, Talk show host Gale King and Bezos’ fiancee Lauren Sanchez are one of the women flying down to a suborbital rocket on Monday. Film producer Kerian Flynn, NASA Rocket scientist Aisha Bow and civil rights activist Amanda Nuguen will also be present.
Around Good morning America, Perry and her crew had their final training session at the rocket launch site in Van Horn, Texas just days before the flight.

Star Trek icon William Shatner has historically been involved in the NS-18 space mission. According to reports, the entire trip took about 11 minutes from takeoff to landing.

The historic venture asked some critics if it was a good idea to launch a fuel-staining rocket into space, but Branson believes the trip is worth the cost.

In 2022 it was announced that Davidson will be taking part in Blue Origin’s new Shepherd Flight on the NS-20 mission. The original launch date was changed and Davidson could no longer make it.
