president Donald Trump His former defense attorney, the Justice Department’s civil servant, considers it a controversial nomination that comes as he continues to attack so-called “activist” judges for blocking his agenda due to a vacant US court of appeal.
Bove, 44, is among Trump considering the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, covering Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
There are currently two vacant seats in the court. Bove’s name increases the likelihood that Trump will come to mind. If confirmed, he will offer a lifetime appointment Federal Bench.
According to familiar sources, Bove’s name is not the only one considered, and the conversation is believed to be in the early stages.

Before it was set up in the Department of Justice, Bove spent nearly a decade as a US prosecutor in the Southern District of New York.
He also defended Trump in two of his criminal trials after his first term at the White House.
In each of these roles and DOJ, Bove’s intense charging tactics solidified his reputation as a fierce, loyal, and sometimes offensive leader.
At the Justice Department, Bove emerged as the man behind some of the administration’s most controversial actions. Some officials urged him to resign rather than carry out his marching orders.
Shortly after taking office, he sent a memo threatening state and city officials who threaten criminal charges or civil penalties if they were not complying with the Trump administration’s crackdown on immigrants or slow-walking orders regarding enforcement.
“Federal law prohibits national and local officials from resisting, obstructing or otherwise complying with legal immigration-related orders,” Bove said in the memo.

Bove faces a very uncertain pass to confirmation if appointed. The news comes as Democrats keenly explore what they claim is Trump’s attempt to set up loyalists to lead the DOJ and the FBI.
The White House and the Department of Justice did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
