Voight and Paul met with dozens of major film and television organizations (guilds, unions, studios and streamers) on what changes should be made to increase film production in the country, according to the statement.

“The proposal includes federal tax incentives, significant changes to several tax laws, the establishment of joint production treaties with foreign countries, infrastructure subsidies for theater owners, film and television production companies, and post-production companies,” the statement said. “The proposal also focuses on vocational training and customs duties in certain limited circumstances.”

“We’ve spent months meeting with top leaders in the film and television industry, and there’s a wide range of agreements that runaway production has become a serious issue that needs to be addressed,” Karol said.
“The plan is to level the arena and producing here in the US is not only a competitive option, but it’s the first option.”
The White House and its associated policy advisors are reviewing the proposal.
