John Rich sees cracks formed in Hollywood resistance President Trumpand he thinks it is related to canceling culture.
“I think a lot of people in Hollywood also felt that, despite them being left in a big way, they also felt the censorship machines that they came after them,” the country singer, who recently released his new single, “The Devil and the TVA,” told Fox News Digital about his successful fight with the Tennessee Valley power project.
“If you look at comedy, for example, you have a huge, huge comedian friend, especially like Bernie Sanders’ supporter. I mean, I left. And then I said, “I’m afraid to make certain jokes on stage right now. I’m afraid I’ll be cancelled.” And I said, “Well, that’s not a way to live, it’s not an American.”
Rich said the comedian ultimately told him he was going to vote for Trump for that reason.
“And I think the monsters have begun to eat themselves. The awakened monster, the censored monster, started eating itself,” he added.
