Comments on Aaron Rodgers’ final meeting New York Jets It seems to leave a bad impression on the team’s leadership.
Speaking to the media about Thursday’s 2025 NFL Draft, new general manager Darren Moogie avoided a series of questions surrounding comments made by the four league MVPs during their appearances. “Pat McCuffy Show” last week.

Rodgers held a final meeting with Moogie and new head coach Aaron Glenn, drawing a picture of him being caught off guard by their calmness.

“It was a funny two years to say the least, but when I flew around the country on my own dime, I thought there was a conversation. And what’s confusing and oddly for me was that when I went out there, I met my coach…
Rogers said Glenn returned in a mousse but the conversation quickly changed.
“We’re sitting in the office and I think we’re going to have this long conversation – I’m flying across the country – and he goes in 20 seconds – I’m literally talking to the GM about something, and he leaned towards the end of his seat and said, “So do you want to play football?”

Rodgers replied that he did, but soon came across Glenn’s already-made decision: “We’re going in a different direction at quarterback.”
Speaking to the media on Monday, Mougey was asked to check out the details of the interaction. He immediately declined.
“I understand that question, and I explained it in [NFL] combine. But today I just want to talk about drafts and Jets players. ”
When pressed again on the subject, Mougey repeated, “I understand the question, but I’m going to talk about the draft and current Jets players.”

Mougey said at the combined in February that he “has been honored as Aaron Rodgers as a player and person, as a first vote Hall of Fame inductee,” but he said he “was past that and stuck with the decision to move to this next process with free agency and draft.”
