First on FOX: California GOP Rep. Darrell Issa The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking an investigation into allegations that ice officials failed to respond immediately to the assaulted protections as violence broke out in the city Friday night.
Issa, a senior member of the House Judiciary Committee on behalf of California’s 48th Congressional District, said in a press release Tuesday that she is seeking a “complete and complete Congressional investigation” on ICE officers’ response times, according to a press release from the DHS.

“The fact remains that it took two hours for the Los Angeles Police Department to respond,” McLaughlin said. “In the meantime, more than 1,000 mobs surrounded federal law enforcement buildings, attacked ice law enforcement officials, slashed tires and undermined field building. DHS is grateful that LAPD is stepping up to help restore law and order.”
Fox News Digital reached out to LAPD for comment.
“We need to know if the city of Los Angeles, California, or someone else has confronted the LAPD and instructed the LAPD not to block them, burn them, or respond to killing their pants, so that they do not respond to requests from the ice age under attack by riot police.”
California’s Democratic leaders are facing widespread criticism from conservatives for President Donald Trump’s denouncement and mentioning protests.
