The legend of tennis Martina Navratilova Two firefighters were killed and another was injured Sunday in response to a vicious ambush-style shooting in Idaho.
The suspicious sniper was identified as Wes Rollley. Authorities said they deliberately set the brush on Canfield Mountain near Caeur D’Alene, near Coeur D’Alene, according to the Associated Press.

“Our country is messed up… It could tear into dead heroes and a dead murderer could corrupt in a hellish place,” Navratilova writes in X.
Cootenai County Sheriff’s Office Firefighters initially said they responded to the flames of Canfield Mountain, just north of Caul Dahlene. Audio released from the scene showed that the first responder was seeking help.
Law enforcement has begun Giant Manhunttracks suspicious gunmen over the terrain. Using cell phone data, we found Lowry’s body a few hours later in a wooded area near the origin of the fire. A firearm was found nearby.

Idaho firefighter suspected shooter ambushed
Authorities have not yet confirmed whether he died from suicide or was fatally injured during the exchange with authorities.
The identities of the two deceased firefighters have not been disclosed and are awaiting notification from their next relatives.

The third seriously injured firefighter has undergone emergency surgery and remains stable.
