Researchers recently identified cave art in Indonesia that dates back some 68,000 years. This is a breakthrough discovery that represents one of the earliest known expressions of human creativity.
This rock painting was discovered in a cave on the island of Sulawesi. tropical island It is located in central Indonesia, northeast of Java and Bali.
Photos taken at the time of the discovery showed a reddish-brown handprint, and there were several elongated or slightly pointed fingerprints on the cave walls.
The prints were created by spraying pigment on a hand pressed against a cave wall, with some fingertips intentionally altered.
