Three divisions Housing and urban development (HUD) Field offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York City temporarily closed their doors in the face of violence caused by anti-ice riots and protests.
The temporary closure due to violence comes just weeks after Democrats, including California officials. Maxine Waters And Michigan Rep. Rashida Tribe argued that HUD’s field office will be closed forever for government efficiency efforts, saying such closures will affect “families and communities across the country that rely on housing support, communities and economic development projects.”
HUD secretary Scott Turner told Fox News Digital on Tuesday that liberal claims in recent weeks had denounced Democrats for “encouraging riots” that caused temporary shutters, while claiming that the field office was “fake news.”
“The left and legacy media have spread fake news in false reports that HUD is closing its field offices,” Turner told Fox News Digital on Tuesday. “Now they’re encouraging riots that actually forced at least three field offices to temporarily close.”
“Like a blue state run by a Democrat California is suffering From failed leadership, we see record-breaking homelessness, unidentified illegal alien crime, and now we see chaos, chaos and destruction as fully displayed,” he added. Fox News Digital has obtained more than dozens of images showing graffiti scattered across federal buildings in downtown LA, home to the HUD Field Office. HUD’s satellite office is just blocked from City Hall, where some of the violent riots are unfolding.

Tlaib also tried to join a gag of a lawmaker requesting he meet with Turner, but was seen stopped at the entrance to the HUD in video footage. Tlaib was heard screaming, “You don’t give sh-!” He was an employee of HUD as a group of lawmakers and Doge protesters, and eventually left the building without meeting Turner.

When Fox News Digital asked whether they were still concerned about the closure of HUD offices due to violence in left-wing cities, they contacted their respective offices at Waters’s and Tlaib, but were not immediately responded.
A riot broke out in Los Angeles Friday evening after federal law enforcement officials gathered around the city and carried out an immigrant raid. Local leaders such as Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Gov. Gavin Newsom quickly condemned the attack on the official statement, offering words of support to illegal immigrants in the state.
Protests against the attack quickly fell into violence as rioters targeted federal law enforcement officials in videos showing rioters plundering local shops, setting cars on fire and taking over the highway, including video showing them.

Trump announced Saturday that he was deploying 2,000 National Guard members to quell the violence, and the administration deployed hundreds of Marines to respond to anti-immigrant disruptions on Monday evening when the violence continued.

“If you ‘sent the troops’ to Los Angeles the past three nights, then it’s going to be a once-beautiful and great city burning to the ground now,” Trump posted to The Truth Society on Tuesday morning.
