The summer of 1969 bothered everyone in Hollywood, including Frank Sinatra.
After masterminding the horrifying murders of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and six other people, the late singer’s hairdresser Joseph Paris recalls how the targeted star of Charles Manson and his followers was.
Paris recently wrote a memoir, “Board Hairman” This details his friendship with “Ol’ Blue Eyes,” who passed away on May 14, 1998 at the age of 82.

“he [got] Two Doverman Pinchers for his home in Los Angeles,” Paris told Fox News Digital about how Sinatra responded to the news of the murder.
“He had an iron gate [installed]”He remembers.” Hairdresser [Jay Sebring] He was once killed Cutting everyone’s hair in Las Vegas. And Sharon Tate was killed. So this was serious. ”

“He was worried about his happiness,” Paris said. “He had some security ride shotguns. He always had a .38 when he traveled for his own protection as people jumped on stage… They couldn’t control themselves. They were such a fan, especially if they had two or three drinks.

Sinatra had good reason to worry about Manson, the leader of the hippie cult who has become the evil face with hypnotism throughout America. According to Paris, Sinatra, along with Elizabeth Taylor and Steve McQueen, “somehow made a Charles Manson hit list.”
“Frank began his trip with a beautiful, silver .38 caliber snub pistol he received as a gift,” wrote Paris.

Manson was a small criminal who had been in and out of prison since he was a child. In the 1960s, he embraced the outrage and portrayed himself as a charismatic leading figure who lost his soul. He continued to order his loyal disciples to slaughter the rich and famous disciples of LA, saying that the prosecutors were bid to launch a race war. He is an idea from the twisted reading of the Beatles song “Helter Skelter.”

Before the murder, the so-called family established a commune-like base at Spahn Ranch, a former film location on the suburbs of Los Angeles. There, Manson was about to drug manipulate his followers, overseeing the orgy, and receiving a strange lecture.
He had musical ambitions and became friends with rock stars, Includes Beach Boy Dennis Wilson. He also met Terry Melcher, the son of music producer and actress Doris Day. Doris Day lived in the same house that Roma Polanski, director of Rosemary’s Baby, and his wife Tate, later rented.

However, by the summer of 1969, Manson was unable to sell his songs. He claimed that Wilson took one of his songs “Stop Existing to Exist,” revised it to “Never Learn Not To Love,” and recorded it alongside the Beach Boys without giving him any credibility.

On August 9, 1969, Manson’s followers massacred five of the victims at Polanski and Tate’s home. Coffee heir Abigail Folger. Celebrity hairdresser Jay Sebring. Polish film director voityck frykowski; a friend of Stephen’s parents and a real estate caretaker. Polanski was abroad at the time.
The next night, the wealthy grocery store and his wife, Leno and Rosemary Labianca, were stabbed to death in a house across town.

The murderer scribbled phrases such as “pig” and spelled “healer skeleter” in blood at the crime scene. Manson was arrested three months later.

Paris told Fox News Digital at the time that local newspapers had published a list of celebrities that Manson wanted to target his followers. Sinatra was among them.
“That was no secret,” Paris said. “[And] After they find it [Tate] Dead blood on the wall and writing, this was certainly a madman. Just a scary person. ”

“Everyone on that list is worried about worrying. “There are people in this world who are sick. [But] What are you supposed to do when someone says they’re off to kill you and they announce it? hide? Do you wear a bulletproof vest? That’s enough to drive you crazy. ”

According to Report University of Missouri – Susan Atkins, a Manson follower at Kansas City School of Law, claimed another inmate, Virginia Graham, has a list of celebrities she and other families “will be killing in the future.” They included Richard Burton and Tom Jones, Taylor, McQueen and Sinatra.
“The words of Atkins’ incredible tale quickly reached LAPD through Ronnie Howard, a friend of Graham’s prisoners,” the report read.

Manson and Atkins, as well as Patricia Krenwinkel and Leslie Van Houten, were convicted and sentenced to death. Another defendant, Charles “Tex” Watson, was later convicted. After the California Supreme Court took the death penalty in 1972, everything was spared execution and was given life sentences.

Another Manson follower, Lynette “Squeak” fromme, He attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford In 1975, but her gun was choked. She served in prison for 34 years.
Over the decades, Manson and his followers appeared sporadically at parole hearings where bids for freedom were repeatedly denied. The women claimed they had been rehabilitated. Manson said the prison became his home.

In 2017, Manson died of natural causes in prison for nearly half a century. He was 83 years old.

For years, it was speculated that Sinatra had a connection to another family: the Mafia. He was tracked by the FBI for over 40 years, history.com It has been reported. According to the outlet, Sinatra always denied that he was connected to the mob, but he interacted with famous gangs, including Sam Jankana, the boss of the Chicago mob, who he was a close friend.
Paris scoffed at his claim.

“Who was the nightclub owned by the bishop and the priest?” he told Fox News Digital. “If I had to work for someone in the nightclub, I would say, ‘You’re not my friend, goodbye?” or ‘Are you making a living for me and my kids?’ I don’t think it was the bishop and cardinals who owned the nightclub years ago. ”

“Because he wasn’t a member of the Mafia,” Paris emphasized. “He didn’t support the Mafia. He was an Italian who had a heart of gold.”
Today, Paris hopes that readers will be able to see a new side of Sinatra, the man he knew. Through his book.

“He treated me like a royal family,” Paris said. “I was a Brooklyn native and hadn’t graduated from school. He went to work as a butcher who thought it would be my life… But with Sinatra, life has always been an adventure.”
