White House officials celebrated on social media after a horse named Sovereignty broke rival journalism Kentucky Derby Saturday.
Sovereignty followed most of the race and didn’t make much of a move close to the final turn, which edged out journalism, his favorite horse to participate in the race.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegses He was one of the Trump administration officials who warned of the outcomes on social media.
“Sovereignty>Journalism,” wrote Hegses. “On the track. And in America in 2025.”
Stephen Miller, White House Deputy Chiefs of Staff also appeared to refer to the race in their social media posts.
“In the Trump administration, sovereignty will always win,” Miller wrote.
