“It didn’t feel like a healthy dynamic. I stopped talking to them. I have to say it was a huge relief,” she told the outlet. “At that moment, my life felt free and open. I didn’t need to please them.”
“I feel like I wasn’t raised to have a deep sense of self-esteem. I think I built my own self-esteem when I was separated from my family,” she added. “It was like a detective, and I saw how I went through the past and developed a particular mindset that was not the healthiest.
