Gary Sinnes would have Hollywood back if the opportunity was right.
In an interview with Fox News Digital ahead of PBS National anniversary Concerts, the actor said that if the situation coincided, he would return to the film and television business.
“I can’t leave the house for the time I’ve been going before and filming movies and stuff, but once the right thing happened, it felt right under the right circumstances and the timing was good so I didn’t go too far from home.

“It’s all about the timing, and everything about the project and the people involved in it. Like I said, like you said, when you’ve been on TV on a hit show for nine years (“CSI: NY”), you could spend that money forever.

In 2019, Sinise took a break from Hollywood and looked after his son McCanna, known as a diagnosed Mac With a rare form of cancer It is called a chondroma. Mac died of cancer in 2024.
“If the right project comes. I’ll consider it.”
Sinise is grateful for his film and television career, giving him the financial freedom to care for his son in his final years.

“I had a blessed career, I was doing well financially, and I was able to build a foundation, I was able to take care of my family, I was able to take care of my son during very difficult times.
“If the right project comes, I’ll consider it. No doubt I’m not banging the pavement right now. Sometimes I do paid speeches, paid narration, etc., and it takes a little time, but I won’t take me out of the house for too long,” he said. “So I pay a little and it helps keep things flat. There I don’t need to be too immersed in the investment as I’ll support and save them for the special things I want to donate.”
Sinise told Fox News Digital that there is a project he took over to stay home with his family.

“There were a few things I had to say I wasn’t available because of the time it took. A TV series that takes me out of the house, you know, you know, and that kind of thing. We can’t do it in the situation we are in.

Sinise said he was talking to several people about projects that match his current lifestyle.
“I’m talking to a few people now about a few different things that will make your lifestyle a little better, and that’s important. I’ve got five grandchildren. We want more. Leave the house for a long time isn’t something I want to do,” he said.

“I’ve done it over the years and had some great, great projects. They took me quite a bit out of the house when my kids were younger.”

“Now I want to stay home more and I’m filled with mission Gary Sinise Foundation. ” He admitted.
The actor founded his foundation in 2011 and supported veterans, first responders and their families through a variety of programs, including smart homes, mental wellness initiatives and community outreach.
Aside from running the Gary Sinise Foundation, the “CSI:NY” actor is returning to his 19th year as co-host for the PBS Memorial Day Concert.
Sinise told Fox News Digital that he initially attended the event after being invited to the NFL Legend Joe Montana.

“He called me and said, ‘Have you heard of the National Memorial Day concert?’ And I said, ‘No, I’m not.’ He said, ‘Well, I just got involved in it a few years ago.
Montana then invited Sinise and his band at the 2005 anniversary concert. The following year he was asked to return and co-host with Montana.

Sinise described the annual concert as a “national service ceremony for fallen heroes.”

“Anniversary is to remember and praise those who have sacrificed those who have served our nation for many years. We have buried more than 130,000 Americans in 26 different cemeteries overseas for the sacrifices created during World War II.

During the show, military members and their families will be on display, bringing the spotlight to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
