Bobby Jenks is close to 2005 World Series champion Chicago White SoxHe passed away on Saturday at the age of 44.

Jenks was selected as an All-Star in both 2006 and 2007, finishing his career with a 3.53 ERA.
He retired after the 2011 season, spending six of his seven seasons in Chicago and another with the Boston Red Sox.
During his heyday he became the second youngest pitcher to record 40 consecutive seasons doing so in a back-to-back All-Star campaign. He also set a record in 2007 by retiring 41 consecutive batters.
Jenks struggled with alcoholism and drug addiction, which effectively ended his career, but in 2012 he calmed down.
Jenks was undergoing treatment in Portugal when he died. He was diagnosed with the disease shortly after losing his home in a wildfire in Pallisard earlier this year.

He was survived by his wife and six children. Four of them were from previous marriages.
