
With real estate experts HGTV Star Tarek El Moussa In his early 30s he faced the horrific reality of fighting not one but two different types of cancer.
The “Flipping 101” star opened up about his personal struggle with Fox News Digital during his life-changing health journey.
“Cancer is a scary word, and when you’re facing cancer, you know that there’s always a chance of that death,” said El Musa, now 43.

“And as you stare in the face, it really, really, really notices you and really realizes that you should be grateful.”
For El Mussa, cancer wasn’t the only thing that scared her. It was a fear of not being there for his family, especially the baby girl of his time.
“The most frightening part of me was not knowing whether I’d live or die, because when I was young, I had a family, my daughter, Taylor, and the most frightening thing was that I didn’t know if I would raise a baby.”
“And as you stare in the face, it really, really, really notices you and really realizes that you should be grateful.”
In 2013 he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. This was discovered after fans noticed a lump around their neck at one of the shows and suggested they see a doctor. Soon after that, he was also diagnosed with testicular cancer.

“I was not only diagnosed with one cancer, but I found out I had two cancers in my early 30s,” El Mussa told Fox News Digital.
The “Flip or Flop” star announced he was cancer-free in 2019.
“Fortunately, 10 years have passed. I’m in remission from both cancers. I’m thriving. My kids are thriving, and we made it,” El Musa told Fox News Digital.

Elmussa’s cancer battle didn’t just save his life. They reshaped his perspective in a profound way.
“Through my experience of illness, I have given me this level of gratitude I would not have had without this terrible experience,” he recalled.

El Musa married while he was undergoing cancer treatment His wife, Christina Huck It collapsed. The two announced their split in 2016.
The former couple got married for seven years before the divorce was completed in 2018.

Elmsa and Huck have co-parented their two children and appear in “Flip Off” with their current wife Heather. The HGTV reality show premiered this year.

Fans have noticed that Heather and Huck are very similar. This is the fact that caused some problems for Elmussa. For example, he accidentally calls his current wife by his ex-wife’s name.

“I don’t know how many people there have wives and ex-wifes, they might have similar shows, they might have worked together,” laughed El Musa.
