
Some travelers are attracting attention from many others about certain airport policies.

Users then shared photos of their monitor screens at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). This was “This is a quiet airport,” and the speaker was consumed.

Reddit users visited the comments section to discuss whether they support this Travel changes.

“I love it! There are many ways to get notifications (email, text, airline apps) Push notifications) There’s no need to make loud announcements across the airport,” one user said.
Another commented, “The only announcements needed are for the remaining items and for the lost children and elderly people.”

“I flew SFO a few weeks ago for the first time in a decade. The first thing I noticed was how quiet and calm it was compared to the outbound route with the DFW connections,” Redditor said.

Another redditor said, “It’s the airport in my home and I love it. I think it sets the tone for a more calm and relaxed travel experience.”

“Quiet airport“The program was launched in 2018. The intention was to “limit a healthy footprint and establish guidelines for the use of music in tenant spaces,” according to the SFO website.
“The SFO customer care team has been reorganized where public address announcements are made, ensuring that passenger audio pages are only made in the areas where they are needed and relevant,” the announcement added.
Airport staff estimated that unnecessary announcements of more than 90 minutes a day have been eliminated for a 40% cut.

Brandon Bullwett, author of How to Avoid Strangers on Airplanes, told Fox News Digital that he has been flying SFO since 2020 and has not been aware of the policy, but he appreciates the intentions.

Bruett said, “I live at the airport so I might be an outlier, but for me it’s not quiet. It all blends in as background noise.”

“In theory, I like the idea of limiting overhead announcements,” Bruett said.
But he said, “The run sounds doomed. If a gate agent has to contact airport staff – they will simply target a specific speaker zone and announce a gate change or final boarding based on where they think it is.
